  RAWAYA - According to Brigadier and media spokesman Udaya Nanayakkara , a Van carrying school children came under an explosion due to a bomb planted within the Van in the vicinity of Nishanka College at Kurunegala. This tragedy has occurred this morning (2). 12 children have sustained injuries.The Driver of the Van had kept the vehicle the garage yesterday night (01) and has taken it out this morning to transport children. It s believed that the bomb must have been introduced to the bus when it was garaged.According to Senior DIG and police spokesperson Nimal Mediwaka this incident has occurred at about 6.55 a.m. The owner of the Van is K.S. Kulasena of Udumalpola Sumanadasa place, Kurunegala. The Driver of the Van is his own son. The explosion has occurred after the Van was taken from the garage out to board the children, and while they were entering the Van. Kurunegala Hospital authorities reveal that the victims have not sustained serious injuries.

   RAWAYA - Addressing  SLFP Women’s Organisations in Matara and Hambantota districts at Medamulana yesterday,President stated "Today certain interested parties were trying to frame war crime charges against our heroic forces who saved the country from a savage outfit.They were trying to do this by collecting false newspaper reports and propaganda caused out by certain anti-national NGOs as evidence as well as accounts inimical to the national interest given by certain political leaders during visits abroad.Therefore, Southern voters had a duty to teach these anti-national forces and conspiratives a good lesson by ensuring a convincing victory for the UPFA at the forthcoming election. A vote for the UPFA would tell the world that the people endorsed the action taken by War Heroes to liberate the country form terrorism and they would not allow any one to summon them before a war crimes tribunal.

  But recently MP Lakshman Kiriella at a press briefing ,recalled president & government , If the President is worried of an International conspiracy to de stabilize the govt., the best place he could have thrashed it out was at the UN assembly. The President instead of  accepting the invitation and addressing the Int. assembly , he summons Grama sevakas , schoolchildren , Aurvedic Doctors to his Temple Trees and complains of the Int. conspiracy . Can these children and Grama sevakas or the Doctors round up the so called conspirators , ? he questioned.
